Reports & Sharing Information
The International Criminal Law Foundation offers individuals, civil society organizations, researchers, stakeholders, and other interested parties the opportunity to carefully share relevant social information and documentation with the foundation.
The foundation is committed to human rights, principles of international law, social awareness, education, transparency, and the promotion of a just and peaceful society. Information shared with the foundation may, to the extent appropriate within the foundation’s objectives, contribute to social documentation, educational activities, research, reports, and awareness-raising regarding human rights and humanitarian issues.
Purpose of Data Processing
The information received may only be used for:
- social and educational purposes;
- documentation and analysis;
- raising awareness of human rights and principles of international law;
- supporting social dialogue;
- preparing reports, publications, and research documentation;
- bringing social or humanitarian issues to the attention of relevant organizations or competent authorities where deemed appropriate and lawful.
In doing so, the foundation acts independently, peacefully, and within the framework of Dutch laws and regulations.
What information can be shared?
Visitors can share the following information, among other things, via the available communication or upload forms:
- documents and reports;
- statements and social information;
- public sources and news documentation;
- photos, videos, or images;
- research materials;
- information related to human rights, social issues, or humanitarian situations.
The sharing of information is voluntary and the responsibility of the submitter.
Diligence, privacy, and confidentiality
The International Criminal Law Foundation handles received information with care, confidentiality, and respect for privacy, human dignity, and applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The foundation takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data and confidential information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Although the foundation strives to ensure that digital communication is as secure as possible, complete security of communication via the internet can never be fully guaranteed.
Legal Terms
The foundation does not accept:
- knowingly false or misleading information;
- discriminatory, hateful, or inflammatory content;
- threats or calls for violence;
- material obtained unlawfully;
- content that violates national or international laws and regulations.
By providing information to the foundation, the submitter declares, to the best of their knowledge, that they are authorized to share the information in question and that they are not unlawfully infringing on the rights of third parties.
Not an official legal body
The International Criminal Law Foundation is an independent civil society foundation and is not a court, government agency, investigative service, or official investigative authority. The foundation does not conduct criminal prosecutions, issue legally binding assessments, or engage in official law enforcement.
If information received may relate to serious social, humanitarian, or human rights issues, the foundation may—where appropriate and within its social objectives—discuss information with experts, civil society organizations, or competent authorities.
Any investigations, legal assessments, criminal investigations, enforcement, or prosecutions are the exclusive responsibility of competent national and international authorities and courts.
Social Objective
The foundation believes that education, social engagement, transparency, documentation, and peaceful cooperation can contribute to greater awareness, respect for human rights, and a stronger rule of law.
By bringing together knowledge, information, and social engagement, the International Criminal Law Foundation aims to contribute to a just, humane, and responsible society for current and future generations.
