Donations

The International Criminal Law Foundation is an independent, non-profit public foundation. The foundation is dedicated to human rights, education, social awareness, research, documentation, and international legal principles.

Financial contributions, gifts, and donations are used exclusively to support the foundation’s statutory objectives and social activities.

Use of Donations

Donations received may be used for, among other things:

  • educational and social projects;
  • research and documentation;
  • publications and reports;
  • awareness-raising activities;
  • meetings, lectures, and events;
  • support for volunteer activities;
  • website, communication, and administrative costs;
  • organizational costs;
  • and other activities directly related to the foundation’s objectives.

The foundation is a nonprofit organization. Any surplus funds are used entirely to further the foundation’s social objectives.

Transparency and Integrity

The International Criminal Law Foundation strives to manage the funds it receives with care, transparency, and integrity, and operates within the framework of applicable Dutch laws and regulations.

The foundation may take appropriate measures to comply with:

  • financial laws and regulations;
  • anti-fraud and integrity standards;
  • applicable sanctions and anti-money laundering regulations;
  • and other legal obligations that may apply to civil society organizations and foundations.

Independence

  • Donations, gifts, or other contributions do not entitle donors to:
  • influence over legal assessments;
  • decision-making on substantive matters;
  • publications or reports;
  • decisions regarding partnerships;
  • or other independent activities of the foundation.

The International Criminal Law Foundation retains its independent social and organizational position at all times.

Refusal or Refund of Contributions

The foundation reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or refund donations, contributions, or financial support if:

  • the source of the funds is insufficiently clear;
  • the contribution may conflict with applicable laws and regulations;
  • there are potential integrity or security risks;
  • or if, in the foundation’s opinion, a contribution is not compatible with the foundation’s objectives, independence, social responsibility, or integrity.

No Guarantee or Consideration

Donations to the International Criminal Law Foundation are made on a voluntary basis and without any commercial consideration. The foundation offers no guarantees regarding specific projects, research, publications, results, or activities.

External payment providers

External payment providers or financial institutions may be used for digital payments or donations. The International Criminal Law Foundation is not liable for disruptions, delays, technical errors, or security issues with external payment services or financial systems.
