Collaboration
The International Criminal Law Foundation believes that sustainable social progress, the protection of human rights, and the promotion of international legal principles are achieved in part through careful collaboration, knowledge sharing, and civic engagement.
The foundation is open to collaborating with, among others:
- civil society organizations;
- human rights organizations;
- research and knowledge institutions;
- educational institutions;
- legal experts;
- volunteers;
- civil society initiatives;
- international organizations;
- and other stakeholders committed to human rights, education, social responsibility, and a just society.
Purpose of collaboration
Collaborations can contribute to:
- social awareness;
- education and knowledge sharing;
- research and documentation;
- publications and reports;
- community projects;
- events, meetings, and conferences;
- support for social initiatives;
- and the promotion of transparency, human dignity, and principles of international law.
Within the framework of its social objectives, the foundation may share information, analyses, research documentation, and educational content with relevant organizations and involved authorities, to the extent that this is appropriate under applicable laws and regulations and the foundation’s objectives.
Independence and Responsibility
The International Criminal Law Foundation acts independently, with due care, and within the framework of Dutch laws and regulations. Collaborations with third parties do not affect the foundation’s autonomous position, independence, and social responsibility.
Collaboration with external organizations, individuals, or initiatives does not automatically mean that the foundation:
- is responsible for external viewpoints;
- endorses all publications or statements by third parties;
- or accepts liability for the actions of external parties.
Each form of collaboration is assessed individually based on due diligence, social responsibility, legal frameworks, and alignment with the foundation’s objectives.
Human Rights and Social Values
In all collaborations, the foundation respects the principles of:
- human dignity;
- fundamental human rights;
- objectivity;
- diligence;
- peacefulness;
- transparency;
- equal treatment;
- and respect for the rule of law.
The foundation reserves the right to refuse, terminate, or limit collaborations, requests, or involvement if, in the foundation’s judgment, activities, statements, or objectives conflict with:
- national or international laws and regulations;
- fundamental human rights;
- social responsibility;
- public order;
- or the foundation’s objectives and values.
