Legal support and cooperation
The International Criminal Law Foundation is committed, as part of its social objectives, to promoting human rights, international justice, transparency, and public awareness. In pursuit of these objectives, the foundation may have information, reports, and documentation—where appropriate and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations—reviewed by independent legal experts, external specialists, and collaborating legal professionals.
The foundation may collaborate with law firms, legal advisors, researchers, and other experts both domestically and internationally to carefully assess the information received and identify potential legal avenues. A careful, objective, and socially responsible approach is central to this process. Information received is not automatically considered legal evidence or established factual truth, but may give rise to further legal assessment, documentation, or public awareness.
If, based on available information and legal advice, there is cause to bring potential criminal offenses, human rights violations, or other serious issues to the attention of competent authorities, the foundation may—where legally permitted and consistent with its social objectives—support or facilitate the preparation of reports, complaints, or formal reports in collaboration with competent legal professionals and relevant parties.
The foundation may support victims, affected parties, or social initiatives in obtaining information about legal options within applicable national and international legal systems. Where appropriate, collaboration may take place with legal professionals or law firms in countries where the legal system offers suitable legal avenues for such action.
Community Gatherings and Awareness-Raising
The International Criminal Law Foundation can also organize gatherings, meetings, educational activities, conferences, and community events to bring people, victims, stakeholders, experts, and civil society organizations together. These gatherings can contribute to knowledge sharing, social awareness, mutual support, and fostering open discussion of personal experiences and social issues related to human rights and international justice.
Through these efforts, the foundation aims to create space for dialogue, education, collaboration, and social engagement, while respecting human dignity, privacy, and diverse backgrounds. The foundation also aims to contribute to societal discussions on strengthening transparency, legal protection, and trust in legal systems, with a particular focus on individuals who feel they have been treated unfairly, not heard, or socially disadvantaged.
The International Criminal Law Foundation does not conduct independent criminal investigations, does not assume the duties of investigative authorities, and does not issue legally binding rulings on guilt, liability, or criminality. Only competent authorities, investigative agencies, and courts are authorized to conduct criminal investigations and make legally binding decisions.
The foundation operates independently, on a non-profit basis, and in compliance with applicable national and international laws and regulations, including those governing privacy, data protection, human rights, and responsible information processing. Personal data and sensitive information are handled with appropriate care and confidentiality.
The International Criminal Law Foundation strives to contribute, in an ethical, transparent, and socially responsible manner, to raising awareness, documentation, education, and support for initiatives aimed at promoting human rights, human dignity, and respect for the rule of law.
