Governance & Transparency

The International Criminal Law Foundation places great value on transparency, integrity, independence, and good governance. As an independent nonprofit organization, the foundation is committed to the careful and socially responsible pursuit of its statutory objectives in the areas of human rights, international justice, social awareness, and transparency.

The foundation’s board is responsible for overall policy, day-to-day operations, financial administration, and ensuring that the foundation’s social objectives are met. The board acts in compliance with applicable national and international laws and regulations, including regulations regarding governance, privacy, data protection, and financial transparency.

The foundation is a non-profit organization. Any income, donations, gifts, grants, or other financial contributions are used exclusively to support the foundation’s social and statutory objectives. Board members receive no remuneration for their work, except for any reimbursement of demonstrable expenses incurred in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and the foundation’s bylaws.

The International Criminal Law Foundation strives for an open, diligent, and transparent approach. Therefore, the foundation may publish information about its policies, activities, social initiatives, collaborations, and—where appropriate—financial accountability, annual reports, policy documents, or other relevant information related to its social objectives.

The foundation acts independently and without political or commercial interests. Decision-making within the foundation is based on due diligence, social responsibility, integrity, and respect for human dignity, human rights, and the rule of law.

Personal data, confidential information, and sensitive documentation are handled with care in accordance with applicable privacy laws and data protection regulations. The foundation takes appropriate organizational measures to manage information in a responsible, confidential, and careful manner.

The foundation is currently in the process of further building and developing its organizational structure. Governance is carried out in accordance with the foundation’s bylaws and applicable laws and regulations. The foundation aims to further expand its governance, partnerships, and social activities in the future to support its social objectives and international collaborations.

Through transparency, responsible governance, and social engagement, the International Criminal Law Foundation seeks to contribute to trust, awareness, and the promotion of respect for human rights, international justice, human dignity, and social responsibility.
