United Nations Strategic Framework for Afghanistan

In line with its cultural and human rights goals, the SIS Foundation intends to organize international festivals in the fields of photography, film and literature. Focusing on personal narratives, oral history and documentation of the suffering and survivors of war and violence, these festivals are designed to transform the language of art into a tool for justice, awareness and dialogue.
The SIS Foundation believes that art can be an eloquent language of truth, memory and advocacy. For this reason, through these festivals, we strive to make the voices of victims of war, violence and human rights violations heard around the world and to provide a platform for recording and reflecting on forgotten memories, suffering and resistance. These festivals are an opportunity for independent and committed artists who, through the language of image, narrative and imagination, help rebuild collective memory and force the world to reflect on human tragedies.
The selected works from these festivals, in addition to being featured in the Foundation’s cultural programs, will also be used in the process of historical documentation and transitional justice.
Note: The official call for entries for the festivals will be published on this website soon.
There is currently no active announcement or call for entries, but news and details about the festivals will be shared with the Foundation’s audience soon.
